Howdy Starfish Discourse community! I’m kinda new here at Starfish. It’s been a little while since I came onboard and it’s past time for me to post an introduction. My background is in Supercomputing/HPC and I have designed, deployed, and supported clusters for Oil and Gas, Life Sciences, Academia, and more. Anyone associated with HPC knows that there are lots of different kinds of storage involved so I have an understanding of how HPC workflows interact with data. I love HPC and was considering expanding my knowledge so when the opportunity came up to make a jump and join Starfish, I took it!
My background is heavily systems administration and this gives me a deep understanding of how folks want to use Starfish and automation that we can enable. I have been automating everything I can for the last couple of decades and SF allows for quite a bit of storage automation. I am really enjoying working with clients and helping develop custom scripts in order to make SF do exactly what y’all want it to do.
I am looking forward to helping develop more tools for industry specific file types, such as sgy files, along with understanding workflows and digging to figure out how SF can make your lives easier.
